Back in 2021, I worked with MOD Pizza's creative advertising team, editing and color grading a series of videos, one of which was their autobiographical showpiece.
It was a unique experience because the MOD team came to me with a rough edit from another ad agency, with the aim to refine and salvage their edit, all while under deadline and the eye of upper management approval. We began by re-arranging sections, adding temp the voice-over with their new script, and we scoured hard drives for the perfect b-roll shots to add. Their team was excellent to work with, fun to be around, efficient, and creatively inspiring, open to collaboration while they know how to both describe and ask for what they envisioned.
What we ended up with was an engaging and heart-warming storyline of the people-oriented values MOD Pizza upholds, promoting diversity, fostering a culture of opportunity, and hiring to make for a positive social impact – of which they call Spreading MODness.
